Engaged report on the preservation of local wildlife, selected and aired on the TéléGrenoble channel.
Le Tichodrome
Semester 3 Video Reporting Environment AwarenessAs part of Semester 3 of our programme, my team (Quentin Liogier, Léa Koubi, Alexis Tran and myself) decided to put a spotlight on the "Le Tichodrome" association. Located in Isère (France), this wildlife rescue centre fights a daily, essential battle. The goal of our report was to raise awareness about a reality often unknown: the direct and growing impact of human activity and climate change on local species.
The Concept: Understanding Human Impact
Voices and Contributors
To bring this report to life, we reached out to several key figures of the centre:The Director: in charge of management and the centre's financial survival.
The Carers (among the 12 staff members): those who provide daily care to maximise survival chances.
Léonore, the Mediator: our main contact, in charge of communication and donor outreach.
The Volunteers: driven by passion to welcome the animals.
We want to encourage everyone to think of simple actions they can take, at their own scale, to limit injuries and help local wildlife.
KEY ISSUE: Awareness and Survival of the Centre
One of the strong messages we wanted to deliver, after our exchanges with Léonore, concerns the financial fragility of Le Tichodrome. The centre, open 7 days a week, relies entirely on public generosity. That's why a crucial part of our report was to promote their fundraising page (created in 2012). It was essential for us to show that every donation, however small, has a direct impact on the recovery of wildlife.Shoot Organisation
The shoot took place directly on site (in Le Gua), adjusting to their strict opening hours (9am to 3pm). We had to be discreet and respectful of the recovering animals while capturing strong visuals in the care room and offices. Interviews with the volunteers were designed to be anonymous, respecting their wish, while still gathering authentic testimonies. A few "Behind The Scenes" stills from our immersion at Le Tichodrome.
